A book review of "Lorna Doone".

This book is about a "big love". The main characters in this story are John Ridd and Lorna Doone, they are an ordinary farmer and a beautiful girl which is from the rich family.

This is a love story, just like the "Romeo and Juliet" but the ending is completely different. It has a happy ending. When you read this book, you can feel that your mind were controlled by the situation of the story and you'll get the strong feeling to fight with those people in the story.

My favorite character in this fiction is John Ridd. His father was killed by those evil robber- Doone family. Everyone in the town were afraid of them.
One day, when little John Ridd heard about the death of his father, he wanted to retort for his father but his mother stopped him, because she doesn't want to lose her family again. Day-by-day, little John became stronger and stronger and he wants to retort.

One day, he get into the Doone Valley and he find the Lorna Doone, soon they began to fall in love with each other. But they can't let their love expose because the Doone family might kill them.

After many years, the bravely John retort them and it's a big succeed and finally he married Lorna.

About me!!!

My name is Chieh Jen. I graduated form Shu-Guang Girls' Senior High School in Hsin-Chu.
I was born in Hsin-Chu on March 1st, 1990. I'm an optimistic girl with a big heart.

I was brought up by an extended family. My parents have arranged a warm and healthy life
for us, as well as my uncles and aunts always were there when I needed help. It was remarkable
memory that I've never experienced the so-called generation gap while I grew up.

In high school, I volunteered at the school library and also used to be a member in the Youth Serving Club. One of the things we've done at the club was visiting local nursing homes to accompany elders. One of my most unforgettable experiences at high school was that I've been to Hawaii as a visiting student.

In Hawaii, I've made a lot of friends from all over the world, until now, I still kept in touch with them. Thus, this trip has greatly expanded my global view.

Traveling is one of my favorites, going to another country so I can learn the different cultures. Nowadays, we are living in a global village; English is an important tool for us to communicate with people from other countries and that's why I choose English as my major.
